Desaru Golf & Country Resort   PDF  Print  E-mail
Written by Editor

We have had some questions coming into our mailboxes about what is the deal between us, JeepNation and Desaru Golf & Country Resort. Well, we shed the curtains and let you in here...

The passion for safe responsible off-roading adventure is the common denominator that unites us. JeepNation has spent the better part of 1998-2000 looking for a place where we can safely introduce the fun, thrills and spills of 4x4-driving to urbanoids that have little or no off-roading experience. Mr Jamal, General Manager of Desaru Golf & Country Resort, himself a dedicated off-roader, had always wanted to share his passion with like-minded people. So when we approached him to once again allow us to make use of his specially-prepared track in Desaru, Malaysia, he was more than happy to give us his utmost support.

There is nothing dangerous about off-roading when drivers and co-drivers know what they are doing and what they are capable of. This is what we would like to enable members of JeepNation with, through planned trips like such. But as Mr Jamal indicated, our relationship will not end there.

It is in the interest of both JeepNation and Desaru Golf & Country Club to protect the environment in Desaru. And believe us, you have seen nothing yet when we bring you to the "other places" in Desaru - enough to get the most experienced off-roader amongst us to break a sweat.

With the blessing and support of Mr Jamal and Desaru Golf & Country Club, you can count on a good spread of trips and off-road experiences. As it is, all areas in Desaru, including the tracks developed and used by JeepNation are accessible ONLY after permission is granted. Take heed that all parties / individuals who are interested to do any off-roading have better inform the relevant authorities - unless you have a desire for legal complications and the whole suite of fines and generally, problems. Who to inform? Click here...
