Written by Editor
I first capped eyes on the new Mitsubishi L200 at Thailand last month. Here's the UK market's official picture.
The replacement to the very old L200 is a bit bigger. Power for the UK
market is expected to the a 2.5-litre direct injection turbo-diesel
that develops 125bhp in standard form. Mitsubishi UK has previously
released power upgrades for the previous model. There are currently no
news of a similar upgrade available for the vehicle, yet. When it
debuts, the 2.5-litre should be making around 160bhp.Expectedly, the
new car complies with the Euro IV emission requirements.
Chassis rigidity is said to have been increased by a whopping
25-percent over its predecessor. In terms of off-road abilities, the
introduction of electronics like traction control. The higher-end
model will also feature super-select four-wheel drive as standard. The
car is slated for launch in the UK by Febuary next year.
So what's the relevance, you ask. Well, the dressed up version of the
L200 is known as the Storm in Malaysia.
