Hello
lovely people.
We now stand on the middle of September and we wait with
the lanterns in our hands for you-know-what.
What do you mean by "huh"?
You know, 29 - 30
September 2001 (last weekend of the month)
is the time for JeepNation to have fun, in the name of the
Mid-Autumn Festival. We have sourced for the place and got
a caterer excited to whip up some serious feast for the
buffeting boffin. The plan remains to be, get there by last
light and eat till we pop the first shirt button, and then
we'll do the Bongo dance with our lanterns... (Provided!)
You have not signed up yet?
For YOUR personal benefit, to be part of this, sign up before
19
Septermber 2001. We have just under
20 vehicles loaded with party people primed to go. You get
your spouse and kids signed up this instance!
(If
you need the application form, it is available on the website)
Next in the calendar, our Basic
4x4 Handling Course scheduled to be held
on 13 -14 October 2001.
The opportunity to know your vehicle, yourself and your
co-driver better as JeepNation takes you for a 2 day theory
+ practical off-road course. Designed to expose the rookie
to the basics of 4x4, you are not expected to possess any
prior off-road driving experience. Just sign yourself up.
The usual rules applies, we will not push off the course
with anything less than 5 vehicles. If you or a rookie friend
is interested to know more about the 4x4 machine and what
it and the driver can do together, drop us a mail. Applications
closes on 14 September 2001.
And there is more happening in the 4x4 scene in this part
of the world. The world gathers in Genting Highlands on
25 November 2001
for the 2002 International
Rainforest Challenge. We have a couple
of arrangements for anyone who likes to tag along or just
be there for the opening event... brace yourself to witness
the world's best off-road machines...
